CTCPS to attend Citizen Advocacy Center conference on Health Care Oversight

CTCPS will be attending a conference put on by the Citizen Advocacy Center: The Nuts and Bolts of Effective Health Care Oversight” – The Citizen Advocacy Center (CAC) will join co-sponsor, Florida’s Department of Health and its Division of Medical Quality Assurance, in presenting their 22nd annual meeting. At this year’s meeting they will explore the nuts and bolts of health care oversight systems designed to
promote safe, high quality, patient-centered care. Speakers and attendees will discuss such
important topics as new developments in assessing and enhancing professional competence,
the effective regulatory management of chemically dependent health care practitioners,
relationships between voluntary certification and state-based professional regulation,
implementing legislation by rule-making, keeping the public informed, and effective discipline
programs.
