Consumer Reports release ratings on NY hospitals
March 5, 2012Posted: 02 Mar 2012 06:57 AM PST – Consumer Reports released rating of NY hospitals performance on four key measures of patient safety: hospital-acquired infections, readmissions, and how well hospital staff communicate with patients about medications and discharge planning. These ratings were then combined into an overall safety score. Most hospitals in the region—which includes New York City and adjoining communities in Westchester County, Long Island, and New Jersey—fared poorly on those measures. Read more…
