Hospital Acquired Infection -John Murtha

Democratic Rep. John P. Murtha, who just Saturday became Pennsylvania’s
longest serving member of Congress, died Monday at a Virginia hospital from
an infection relating to a recent surgery.  I am certain the media will not understand the importance infection plays in contributing to a death.  Doesn’t the public have a right to know a surgeon’s infection rate and  a hospital’s infection rate?  Accountability and transparency must be as the center of all health reform
