Senator Lieberman Turned Off his Phones

There is an amazing disconnect between Senator Lieberman and his constitutents.  The Progressive Change Campaign Committee will start airing an ad this week featuring John Mertens, the man who put together Joe’s last campaign.  “joe never forgets who he ran to represent,” Mr. Mertens states in the ad.  “Himself”  A Congressional staffer told me that the phone calls in support of a public option, and phone calls reflecting outright anger at the Senator were so overwhelming, they shut down their system!

Keep calling.  It feels good to express dismay and please do yourself the favor of making sure they take your name.  It is harder to discount a call with a name of a constitutent than to just have that call be a number.
